CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
During the scoping phase of this development, it was determined that the proposed Rapids Country Estate Development will have a limited impact on the environment, and those impacts that do arise, will be drastically minimised through proper environmental management.
The main impacts are on the sensitive areas of the site that include the rocky outcrops and the Langspruit area. Mitigatory measures will be correctly implemented to ensure that the development actually contributes to the variety of tourist experiences in the area, while at the same time, maintaining a productive and sustainable environment.
For this reason, Eco Consult Inc. was appointed as Environmental Assessment Practitioners by the client to undertake the appropriate Environmental Impact Management process for Rapids Country Estate Development, and to ensure compliance with the relevant environmental legislation, regulations and guidelines.
